Hand-mapped microblading, powder brows, lip blush and liner — matched to your skin, your bone structure, and the shade you'll still love in two years.
Your appointment starts with a complimentary consultation — a shade match against your skin's undertone and existing brow hair — so healed color reads natural, not drawn-on.
Every treatment includes your mapping consultation, numbing, the procedure itself, and a complimentary touch-up window. Prices reflect placeholder rates — swap in your own before publishing.
Permanent makeup is a process, not a single visit — here's the real timeline from your first appointment to fully healed color.
We go over skin texture, your desired look, color match, and shape before we start.
We shape-map to your bone structure and match pigment to your undertone before anything touches skin.
Topical anesthetic first, then hairstrokes or shading are placed slowly, checking symmetry throughout.
Color looks bold at first, then flakes and softens. Some fading during healing is normal and expected.
Your touch-up fills any light spots and finalizes shape and saturation once skin is fully settled.
Based in York, Maine, Brow Bar Maine specializes in natural-finish brows, lips, and liner for clients who want definition without looking "done."
Jennie is an AAM Board Certified and Maine State Certified Trainer with over five years of experience in permanent makeup. She has completed more than a dozen advanced training courses and has earned over 100 five-star reviews for her consistent, natural-looking results.
Jennie is known for her conservative, "less is more" approach to permanent makeup, always beginning with subtle enhancements and gradually building as appropriate. Touch-ups are not required and are offered as an optional service to ensure the skin is never over-saturated. Each treatment plan is thoughtfully customized based on the client's desired outcome, lifestyle, and budget, with a focus on enhancing natural beauty while maintaining skin integrity.
Jennie's path into permanent makeup started with trichotillomania — growing up with it taught her firsthand what it means to want to feel confident in your own skin, and that understanding shapes how she works with every client today.
Outside the studio, Jennie is a mom of three. She and her partner, Colin, spend their free time outdoors with the kids — at the beach, hiking, or traveling as a family.

Most clients see 1–3 years of wear before color needs refreshing, depending on skin type, sun exposure, and skincare routine. Oilier skin tends to fade faster.
Microblading uses a handheld tool with tiny needles to hand-draw each hairstroke. Nano brows use a fine single-needle machine instead, which gives more consistent, precise strokes and tends to hold up better on oilier skin. The result looks similar when healed — the difference is mostly in the tool and technique.
A topical numbing agent is applied before and during the procedure. Most clients describe it as pressure and mild scratching rather than sharp pain.
I don't numb for the first lip blush round. For your second and third rounds, I do offer a secondary numbing option.
Pregnant or nursing clients, anyone on blood thinners, and those with active skin conditions in the treatment area should wait or check with their doctor first.
Keep the area dry and out of direct sun for about 10 days, apply the provided aftercare balm, and avoid picking at any flaking skin.
Every appointment includes a complimentary in-person consultation first — we'll talk through your goals and map your shape before anything touches skin. Consultations aren't offered as a separate visit, so go ahead and book your appointment below.
